Nearly 500,000 young professionals call Williamsburg home. Most eateries are located along bustling, centrally located Bedford Avenue. While the brand already had a beloved Bushwick location, we were tasked with persuading all of these Brooklynites to walk ten blocks over to the Williamsburg Waterfront to check out the restaurant’s new outpost. Our goal was to drive foot traffic to the new location, which meant it was time to conceptualize an out-of-the-box, non-cookie-cutter advertising campaign.

Our target audience in Bushwick and Williamsburg is anything but ordinary, which allowed us to utilize innovative and creative digital advertising strategies. For example, we captured drone aerial videos – as well as customer-generated Instagram and TikTok videos – to entice our target demographic. Additionally, as part of our digital advertising strategies, we made it a priority to capture the attention of diverse, influential individuals so that all sorts of folks would feel inspired to visit the restaurant’s newest location.

Thanks to a combination of influencer marketing, paid ads, user-generated content, and original drone footage, we were able to transform an empty restaurant space into a bustling destination hot spot.

Carnsmedia collaborated with Toast (a popular restaurant management and point-of-sale system) to capture customer emails when they make a purchase at the restaurant. This is key since emails are generated from paying customers instead of people who subscribe online or use the restaurant’s Wi-Fi. We know these customers either live close to the restaurant or have visited the restaurant. In turn, this helps us develop an effective local advertising strategy.

We worked closely with Sea Wolf’s management team (across multiple restaurant locations) to develop a robust email marketing calendar each quarter. Through these short-and-sweet email campaigns, the restaurant has seen an increase in loyal repeat customers and customer expansion.
